Florida won their first basketball national championship on the backs of their three future NBA players, Joakim Noah, Al Horford and Corey Brewer. The Gators controlled most of the game, and when Joakim Noah made a dunk with a little over a minute remaining to make it a 17 point game, it was all but over.

Returning most of their core from the previous year's championship team, Florida made it back to the National Championship and once again controlled most of the game, defeating Ohio State to give the Gators back to back championships.
